A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: Spirit Roots

Spiritual roots are the forces of production, cultivation techniques are the means of production, and spiritual energy is capital in circulation. Sects and clans monopolize all the means of production, while low-ranking cultivators are nothing but “proletarians,” discarded once they’ve been worked to the bone.

Han Li, a low-ranking servant laboring in a pill workshop, triggers the mysterious “optimization” power of a pendant when he’s on the brink of death. From then on, waste pills become treasures in his hands, trash cultivation techniques are refined to perfection, and inefficient production processes are revolutionized.

While others risk their lives to seize treasures in secret realms, he optimizes production chains. While others spend fortunes at auctions, he establishes a contribution-point system. He unites rogue cultivators and establishes the “Cultivation Alliance,” declaring to the monopolists of the old world:

“You monopolize the technology of the past. What I’m creating are the rules of the future!”

This is a path unlike any that came before. With no master or connections, he has only his understanding and application of objective laws. Han Li will use the most advanced “productive forces” to crush the most rotten “relations of production,” bringing an earth-shattering Dao-Productive Revolution to this stagnant cultivation world!
