In a future city where "sympathy" technology can turn memories into replayable data, Lin Mo, an elite memory interrogator, is responsible for sneaking into criminals' memories to find the truth. When the founder of "empathy" technology died mysteriously and all the evidence pointed to suicide, a contradictory memory data revealed the possibility of a murder: the deceased, in extreme fear, looked at his "own" hands and killed himself. Lin Mo was forced to dive into this tampered memory maze full of paradoxes. Not only does he have to hunt down a ghost killer who can manipulate memories, he also has to face the trauma of his own memories of his dead wife. The truth may be hidden in the corner that he least dares to touch.
