The story takes place between the six realms of ancient mythology. Wuxi, a stone monkey, was originally a wild demon monkey who accidentally broke into the East Heaven Realm and met Carrot Fairy and Little Soy Sauce in the underworld by chance. They continue to experience absurd and humorous adventures in heaven, the divine realm, the underworld and other places: making trouble in the heavenly palace, exploring the underworld, robbing divine objects, and outsmarting old immortals.
