The Great Ming Medical Sage: My Master Is Li Shizhen

As the final disciple of the great physician Li Shizhen, Li Heqing bears his master's dying wish to complete the unfinished sections of the Compendium of Materia Medica. Carrying the Unending Scroll, which records strange illnesses and rare medicines, he travels across the vast lands of the Ming Empire. Using herbal knowledge as his boat and medicine as his oars, he heals countless people while witnessing the dangers of the martial world, the treachery of the imperial court, and the myriad sides of human nature. He forms an unbreakable bond with an inheritor of Miaojiang poison arts and becomes both rival and friend to a genius of the Imperial Medical Academy. In the end, he faces a powerful eunuch who uses medicine to wreak havoc on the court. From a sincere young man who knew only prescriptions, he grows into a great physician who truly understands what it means to have a healer's compassion and to heal an entire age.
