In 1975, Yun Xiu, an educated youth heroine from a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, was forced to form a "mutual aid household" with Bian Ye, a taciturn and poor man from a forest farm in Beijiang, for the chance of staying in the city. It's a story about two young people with completely different growth backgrounds, personalities and habits, who were initially incompatible and had constant friction under the same roof. In the day-to-day work and life, they were gradually moved by each other's tenacity and kindness, and finally got to know each other, create a better life together with their hands, and lead the entire forest farm to new development.
