My Little Pony: The Equation of Family and Friendship

When a homebody transmigrates into a baby pegasus, she discovers that the family she’s ended up with isn’t the main cast, but a family of “mad scientists”?!

The moment Bai Li opens her eyes, she finds herself a yellow pegasus foal abandoned in a cardboard box in an alley.

The good news: she’s transmigrated into the world of her favorite show, My Little Pony.

The bad news: she only watched the first season.

And the “home” that takes her in is a little... unusual.

Her “teacher,” Starlight Glimmer, is a fringe scholar who can “write magic as code” and drinks coffee like water. Her lab is piled high with research materials.

Her “older brother,” Platinum Shimmer, is a gentle, capable genius and top student, though he seems to have a hidden tragic backstory. He takes care of her with the skill of a professional nanny.

And then there’s her: a transmigrator with a soul in her twenties, a body just over a year old, and only “goo-goo ga-ga” for now.

Her greatest golden finger is that she recognizes every pony, but none of them recognize her.

And so, their cozy (?) daily life begins:

She tries to dazzle everyone with knowledge from her past life, but gets nervous and knocks over the ink.

The first time she meets Princess Celestia, she gets so excited that she drools on the spot, suffering a humiliating social death (though nobody notices).

She tries to explain that the story of Nightmare Moon is real, but her teacher makes her a little moon-shaped night-light instead: “Now you won’t be afraid of the dark~”

This is a story about a family unrelated by blood, magic mixed with science, and how a sharp-tongued transmigrator uses all the love in her heart to quietly rewrite the course of fate.

Here, knowledge is used to protect those you love, and unusual eyes are a badge of uniqueness.

And tragedy?

Sorry, this family doesn’t do that kind of story.
