I, Ancestor of the Zhu Clan, Beat Zhu Yuanzhang from the Start

“Great Ancestor, please stop beating him! Your descendant Zhu Chongba knows he was wrong.” Zhu Zihua, the Zhu family’s Great Ancestor, had just attained Emperorhood. He was holding Zhu Yuanzhang up and beating him. As he beat him, he shouted, “What are you talking about?” “You dare make your ancestor kneel to you? Do you think you deserve that?” Zhu Yuanzhang was completely dumbfounded. He could hardly believe that the young man before him was the eighteenth-generation Great Ancestor of the Zhu family. Zhu Yuanzhang: “Great Ancestor, since Biao’er is no longer with us, who should I make Crown Prince?” Zhu Zihua: “Make Prince of Yan, Zhu Di, Crown Prince.” Zhu Yuanzhang: “Why?” Zhu Zihua: “Because even if you don’t appoint Zhu Di and make Zhu Yunwen Crown Prince instead, Zhu Di will take the throne for himself anyway.” Zhu Yuanzhang: “...Then I’ll make Zhu Di Crown Prince.” Zhu Zihua: “That’s even worse.” “His descendants will be even more useless. They’ll cause the Tumu Crisis and bring the entire Ming Dynasty crashing down.” Zhu Yuanzhang: “Then who should I appoint?” Zhu Zihua: “It’s gotten cold lately. Your ancestor here would like another layer of clothes!”
