The year he left in such a hurry, she was heartbroken beyond words.

For two whole years, she never saw him again or heard any news of him.

She endured one agonizing year after another, until she finally got the chance to go see him.

When Fang Zhiying saw him again, she wanted to cry, but she managed a brave smile.

Ji Yuchen immediately embraced her. He understood how sensible she was, and how she kept growing for his sake, even though these were things he should have done for her. He was nine years older, and he felt deeply guilty.

“Did you miss me?” Ji Yuchen kissed her cheek and down her neck.

“I missed you. I missed you so much, truly, more than I can say. I don't want you to keep traveling back and forth, driving all the way here to see me. I know you're busy, and that you can't leave Hong Kong, so I'm coming to you. I'll stay with you and face everything with you.”

Ji Yuchen was always coming up with new surprises for her. He set off fireworks for her three times at Victoria Harbour, went with her to see the purple fields of flowers in Provence three times, and took her to Zurich three times.

He saved all his tenderness and romance for her, truly giving her everything he had.

Later, the heroine willingly let Meiye imprison her for three years for the sake of love, before regaining her freedom and reuniting with Ji Yuchen.

In this life, Ji Yuchen's love for Fang Zhiying was truly “impossible to replicate, growing stronger by the day, endlessly romantic, giving everything he had, all for the heart of one woman.”
