Siheyuan: I Really Didn't Do It on Purpose

The male lead, Lin Chen, is a modern-day office worker who accidentally transmigrates to Beijing No. 3 Steel Rolling Mill in 1965. He becomes a young technician newly assigned to the factory and temporarily living in a courtyard house.

His transmigration comes with a storage space filled with the enormous stockpile of supplies he gathered before arriving. Lin Chen is tactful and perceptive, and knows the original story inside out. He has no desire to repeat Silly Zhu’s mistakes, but finds it hard to resist the charms of the courtyard’s women and the ties of fate that bind them together.

He lives by the principle: “Never make the first move, never turn anyone down, and never give anyone special treatment.”
