Honghuang: I Am Hongyun, and I Arrive at the Purple Cloud Palace from the Start

After being dragged along by Pangu as he transmigrated to the Primordial World, he became the first red cloud between heaven and earth, stained with Pangu’s heart’s blood.

He was none other than the innate fiendgod Ancestor Hong Yun, who would one day give away his chance to become a Sage in the Purple Cloud Palace, incur the karmic debt of the Sage position, earn a string of titles including the unluckiest being in the Primordial World and its greatest pushover, and ultimately meet a tragic end.

Yet Hong Yun did not blame fate. He simply stayed quietly in Fire Cloud Cave, devoted himself to cultivating and transforming, refined treasures, practiced the divine ability of the Three Lives and Three Worlds Body, extinguished the benevolent thoughts of Pangu contained in the heart’s blood within his innate fiendgod essence, and, aware of the dangers of his inheritance, devised a path of cultivation better suited to himself.

When Hongjun became a Sage, Hong Yun left Fire Cloud Cave with the Chaos Vitality Pearl above his head and the Hongmeng Measuring Heaven Ruler in his hand. Concealing the Three Lives and Three Worlds Body, he entered the chaos beyond the heavens in search of the Purple Cloud Palace. He sat upon a cushion, watched Jieyin and Zhunti of the West, and waited for the drama in the Purple Cloud Palace to unfold. He would overturn his tragic fate, restore the fame of Ancestor Hong Yun, and manifest as a Sage in the Primordial World!

He even tilted his head skyward at a forty-five-degree angle, moved by the moment, and composed a poem:

Pangu dragged me through the Primordial World, red clouds stained with blood between heaven and earth.

In the Purple Cloud Palace, I gave away the chance to become a Sage, bearing the karmic debt.

The Primordial World’s unlucky pushover, destined for a tragic end that stirs pity.

Ancestor Hong Yun holds no grudge, cultivating in quiet meditation in Fire Cloud Cave.

Refining treasures, revealing divine arts, tempering the Three Lives and Three Worlds Body.

Erasing Pangu’s benevolent thoughts from my essence, devising a new path despite the flaws in my inheritance.

Hongjun becomes a Sage, and Hong Yun emerges, the Chaos Vitality Pearl floating above his head.

The Hongmeng Measuring Heaven Ruler in hand, the Three Worlds Body concealed, he dives into the depths.

Seeking the Purple Cloud Palace in the chaos beyond heaven, seated on a cushion as the drama unfolds.

Jieyin and Zhunti stand in the West, while Hong Yun’s fame spreads through the heavens.

Now the karmic fate is overturned, and his might shines across the Primordial World!
