Shen Qingyan, a peerless prodigy of the Central Domain, possesses the exceptionally rare Primordial Candle Dragon Temporal Dao Body. Rising from the Southern Domain, he dominated his peers at the Central Domain’s Prodigy Grand Ceremony and defeated two veteran Divine Lords, claiming the top spot on the Central Domain Prodigy Rankings.
Fame brought one crisis after another. The Dark Demon Abyss, lurking for millennia, had long coveted his unique Dao Body and laid countless deadly traps. In the ancient Time Ruins secret realm, Shen Qingyan joined forces with his bonded true dragon, A Zhu. Drawing on the secret realm’s temporal origin, he slew three Dark Lords and two Eighth-Rank Enfeoffed Kings while still only at the Sixth Rank, sweeping away the Dark Demon Abyss’s forces within the realm.
This act enraged the ruler of the Dark Demon Abyss, a Dark Venerable Lord who had half a foot in the Ninth Rank. The Venerable Lord emerged in person, intending to forcibly extract Shen Qingyan’s Temporal Dao Bones and refine them for his own use. Faced with an insurmountable gap in cultivation, Shen Qingyan burned his Dao foundation and unleashed the forbidden Eternal Time Stop, challenging a Dao Venerable against all odds and even wounding the Dark Venerable Lord. At the critical moment, the four great righteous Saint Venerables arrived to help, forcing the Dark Venerable Lord to retreat.
That battle made him a legend. The tale of a Sixth-Rank cultivator challenging a Dao Venerable resounded throughout the vast Martial Dao world. Though gravely wounded, Shen Qingyan’s path of cultivation did not end. He swore that once his cultivation reached its peak, he would flatten the Dark Demon Abyss, purge the world of demonic calamities, and embark on the supreme journey of the Temporal Candle Dragon.
