Multiple unknown disasters broke out around the world at the same time, and the world was reduced to ruins. Jiang Liang led a team of survivors from the abandoned city of Beijing all the way through the disaster area, looking for hope of survival in the bombed-out city. During the process, the members each have their own experiences of loss and redemption, and they also need to deal with the threats of alien mutant creatures, survivor groups, and deep inner struggles.
