[Only uses the settings from Douluo I and II + broadly follows the original plot in the early stages + original characters + changes plot points I personally disliked]
Ten thousand years after the start of Douluo, the Tang Sect has fallen into decline, and winds of change blow through the Star Dou Forest.
Twin brothers Xu Nuo and Xu Yan, from Xu Village, possess Golden Dragon and Silver Dragon Martial Souls. Starting out with an ordinary innate soul power of rank one, they embark on the path of the Soul Master under Granny Yun’s protection. A life-or-death adventure in the Star Dou Forest brings them face to face with the remnants of the Tang Sect, where they meet Beibei, Tang Ya, and Huo Yuhao, forging an unbreakable bond with the fallen legendary sect.
This is an alternate path that diverges from the original: no shackles of predetermined fate, only the stubborn grit of young men who refuse to give up. Though they lack perfect innate gifts, they have the courage to defy fate. Through cruel trials, the brothers advance step by step, one attacking and the other supporting. In an era when Soul Tools are flourishing, they seek a path to restore the fallen Tang Sect. This is a self-indulgent retelling, written to fulfill the author’s wish for a happier outcome for these young men and to complete the sect’s unfinished legacy. Watch the twin dragons break through barriers and protect the Tang Sect’s fading light as they write their own peerless legend along another path through Douluo Dalu.
Note: This story contains original OCs and rewrites the plot within the framework of the original. The core character relationships and main direction of the story remain unchanged. This is primarily a self-indulgent work, so readers who want something that sticks completely to the original should proceed with caution. The main perspective is that of the twin brothers and their bond. Plot points that haven’t been changed are assumed to follow the original; most of what I write is different from the original.
I’ve been unable to let go of how Douluo II ended, and now I finally have time to start writing.
Keep writing, come on
