Scientific Tang Dynasty: From the Start, I Explain Newton's Laws to Li Er

Li Chen, a science PhD, travels back to the early Tang dynasty and just wants to live a quiet life.

When Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, personally comes to recruit him, Li Chen pulls out a copy of Basic Physics instead.

"Your Majesty, building a generator is better than becoming an official."

The court officials laugh at him for dreaming the impossible.

Then the Turkic cavalry lays siege to the border, and Li Chen sets up a giant coil atop Chang'an's city wall.

A bolt of lightning strikes the Turkic khagan a hundred li away, and the enemy troops cry out that Heaven has punished them.

Trembling, Li Shimin picks up the torn textbook:

"My dear subject... can this book be repaired?"
