The Canyon King Returns

Lin Mo was once the Star Alliance's top "memory reader," able to extract lingering fragments of memory from any object. But while investigating the bizarre murder of a councilor, he touched a key piece of evidence, an antique pocket watch, and was instantly dragged into the victim's final memories. Trapped in a mental prison called "Memory Island," his body teeters on the brink of brain death in the outside world. Within the island, he is forced to relive the hours leading up to the murder again and again in an eternally repeating rainy night. To survive and uncover the truth, Lin Mo must break the time loop and find the "variable" that can take him home, somewhere in this wasteland of consciousness built from other people's memories.
