The main duty of the World Contact Department at Interstellar Airlines is, simply put, to enter worlds sealed off by the power of wishes, find the anchor beings in those worlds, and establish cooperation by communicating with them. Using these anchors, the company can then break through the wish-power barriers and add those worlds to its route network.
“Is it really cooperation, rather than control and colonization?” someone asked during a Starsea News interview with an operative from the World Contact Department.
“Colonization? What era are we living in? It’s such an inefficient approach. Why would we ever use it? Don’t lump us in with those idiots in the Strategic Expansion Department,” Ruan Tianle said seriously to the camera.
“Uh, can we broadcast that?” the reporter asked.
“Of course. Do whatever you like.”
