I Found an AI War God in the Apocalypse

A red fog swept across the globe, turning half of humanity into bloodthirsty zombies. Civilization collapsed, and the world became a wasteland.

Lin Wan, once a crop technician at a base, was on the verge of death while fleeing when she unexpectedly came across the blood-soaked “God of War,” military AI Unit 739. It possessed a top-tier combat system, but the red fog had damaged it and its power was running low, leaving it with just 37% energy.

“Want to work together? You help me find an energy core, and I’ll get you to safety.”

At the sound of its cold mechanical voice, the pact between a human survivor and the AI God of War officially took effect. They had to cross a 12-kilometer route of death, braving encirclement by hordes of zombies and waves of mutated beasts, while also guarding against betrayal by former comrades and schemes by the base’s old guard.

Lin Wan repeatedly found ways out of trouble with her survival know-how and crop-growing skills. Meanwhile, 739, seemingly devoid of emotion, not only shielded her from deadly danger in battle, but also concealed a secret deep within its body that could upend the world order. As the AI began to show signs of human warmth and fragments of the truth behind the red fog came to light, their partnership had already become something more.

“From the moment our pact took effect, your life has been mine to protect.”

This is a story of two people saving each other in the face of despair, and a doomed romance that crosses the boundary between human and machine. Amid survival and betrayal, truth and lies, can they claim the energy core, unravel the mystery of the red fog, and find a glimmer of hope for humanity?
