From the start, I kidnapped the wrong person and mistook the ultimate BOSS for a poor little thing!
Programmer Ling Bai had just died of sudden cardiac arrest when he was bound to an unreliable quick transmigration System. The mission was simple: transmigrate into various novel worlds, save tragic villains, and defy fate!
But things went wrong from the start. The System didn’t have enough energy and bound the wrong person: it mistook Shen Mo, the original novel’s greatest and most enigmatic villain, for the “Host” who needed saving!
Looking at the imposing big shot before him, whose gaze could freeze a person solid, Ling Bai clutched the System and trembled. “...Can I still unbind from him?”
Shen Mo, once a top agent in the Quick Transmigration Bureau, had been exiled for unknown reasons. He’d meant to find somewhere quiet to enjoy his retirement, but a rookie System and a clueless Host had latched onto him. Watching Ling Bai tremble like a frightened rabbit, he raised an eyebrow lazily. “You want to redeem me? Interesting.”
And so, the whole story went completely off the rails:
World One: Facing a tyrant, Ling Bai’s legs went weak. “Boss, the script didn’t say he’d be this handsome!” Shen Mo chuckled. “What are you afraid of? You’re his one true love.”
World Two: Facing bankruptcy, Ling Bai handed over a business plan. “...How about the ‘powered by love’ version?” Shen Mo pulled him into his arms. “No need to generate power. Having you by my side is the best investment.”
While other mission-takers struggled on the edge of life and death, Ling Bai was carried through every world by the big shot, sailing to easy victories and checking off his missions.
Only later did Ling Bai discover that behind this seemingly absurd mission lay a secret spanning countless light-years. And the man who had always protected him had been waiting for him across the river of time, over and over, for millions of years.
