The Laid-Back Prince: The Grand Tutor Tore Up My Leisurely Script

Su Jinghong, the ninth prince of the Great Yao Dynasty, has been the palace’s most universally disliked person since childhood. His mother shows him no affection, his father has no fondness for him, and even the eunuchs and maids secretly sneer at him. Hoping to live quietly until adulthood and become a wealthy, idle prince, he deliberately acts crazy and foolish, cementing his image as a spoiled good-for-nothing. His days are spent skipping class, slacking off, and finding new ways to court disaster, all in the hope that everyone will forget he exists. But an imperial decree sends him to the Royal Academy, full of top students, where he ends up with Lu Qingci, a cool and noble tutor with no tolerance for the slightest offense, who hides a ruthless streak beneath his refined exterior. Su Jinghong expects to keep slacking until he’s sent home, but the tutor not only fails to get angry, he protects him at every turn. Even the notoriously cold and ruthless sixth prince, Su Jingyuan, who has a grudge against him, keeps secretly helping him out of trouble. And then, most ridiculously of all, Su Jinghong accidentally bonds with the “Idlebones Comeback System”: slacking earns points, and loafing unlocks skills. Before he knows it, the useless prince has become the academy’s center of attention and a rising star at court. As political enemies watch him hungrily and the inner palace brims with hidden dangers, Su Jinghong keeps pretending to be a lazybones while using System skills to humiliate villains and put them in their place, all the while developing an ambiguous spark with his cool tutor and protective sixth brother. This is a crowd-pleasing tale of winning by doing nothing, face-slapping satisfaction, and two powerful leads watching each other’s backs. Its down-to-earth language, rapid pace, and constant payoffs will keep you entertained and laughing.
