In Gnosta, a cold city where machines and magic coexist, the worlds of mechanics and magicians do not blend in with each other, and they are wary of each other. Eli Silverwing, a genius among mechanics, is hostile to magic because of past trauma. Ivy Starwhisper, an outlier among magicians, is full of curiosity about the mechanical world. An accidental magic went out of control, causing the city's core power system to be on the verge of collapse. Eli and Ivy were forced to work together to repair the crisis. The two gradually build trust in apathy and rationality, and reveal the hidden conspiracy between the Machinists' Guild and the Magician's Council: Austin Ash attempts to use machinery to devour magic and restore order. As the crisis escalates, the two work together to explore the possibility of combining technology and magic, and find the only answer to save Gnosta amid the tension between power, faith and emotion. In the end, with their cool and proud attitude, they subverted the world's understanding of machinery and magic, and brought new hope to the city.
