She became a concubine in Shen's Mansion, Zhang's Mansion, and Wang's Mansion. She was repeatedly changed hands and humiliated, and she struggled with her fate. In the dark nights, half of a jade pendant left by her mother was always hidden on her body. Unwilling to be reconciled to her fate, she took advantage of her literacy to secretly memorize evidence of the crimes of powerful people, and was eventually given to the old censor Zhou Qiyuan as a concubine, and gave birth to her son Nian'an. After Zhou's death, A Yuan was expelled. Fortunately, he was taken in by his old servant Chen Ma and lived in a teahouse by the canal. In the end, the evidence she hid came into effect, the villain was arrested, and A Yuan finally lived a stable life with Nian An.
