A deadly influenza virus has erupted across the world once again. A vaccine appears out of nowhere and is rapidly rolled out worldwide, but it also opens a Pandora's box, letting the crisis spiral out of control... Professional assassin Gu Chen completes his job in Los Angeles, but unusual lockdown measures leave him stranded in the city. When he wakes the next morning, Los Angeles has become a hellscape crawling with zombies. Determined to find his girlfriend in Cambridge, Gu Chen sets out on a cross-continent journey without a second thought.
He has no System to back him up and no supernatural powers awakening within him. The only things he can rely on are a gun that becomes useless once its bullets are spent and the companions who have stood by him through life and death.
After civilization and order collapse, there are no saviors or selfless saints, only survivors who fight decisively and press on through hardship.
Hardcore survival meets realistic logic, taking you on an apocalyptic trek through a world of the walking dead.
