Beneath a bustling metropolis, sixteen primordial gods descend and divide the world, forcing humanity to take part in a “Faith Game.” Every seven days, players face a “Six-Person Trial.” Failure means losing all their cultivation or dying. The protagonist, Chen Qing, abandons his faith in the God of Fate and turns to the God of Deception, becoming a clown priest. Though terribly unlucky, he gains the ability “When a lie seems true, the truth becomes false.” Across one trial after another, he survives by relying on his wits and absurd strategies. Yet the gap in power between players and gods is immense, leaving Chen Qing torn between growing stronger quickly with divine gifts and staying true to his resolve to oppose the gods. Meanwhile, his status as a follower of the God of Deception leads to misunderstandings, and every victory comes at a bitter price, such as the sacrifice of his teammates. As the trials continue, conflicts of interest among the gods and humanity’s struggle against them, led by the “Torchbearers,” come to light. In the end, Chen Qing overcomes every obstacle, suppresses the gods, and ushers in the “Clown Era.”
