The Moon of Then Shines on Today

If you could turn back time, would you give everything to change the moment that hurt the most?

Young attending physician Lin Wanxing has never been able to escape the shadow of her father’s death in a car accident when she was two. By chance, she travels through time and returns to 1987, the most hopeful moment in her father’s life. He is on the verge of a promotion and dreams of moving his family into a house with a courtyard. She wants to change the tragedy that follows and give her father and the rest of her family a better life.

But the tide of history cannot be stopped. When all her efforts seem powerless against the momentum of the times, she finally begins to understand her father’s choices. In the end, she discovers that this journey is not about changing the past, but about saying goodbye across the divide between life and death, and making peace at last with the self she had trapped in regret.

The moon once witnessed a farewell;

Now, beneath its light, we are reborn.
