Little Swordsman

"Little Swordsman" is a martial arts swordsman novel written by the writer Lu Shi'e in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. It follows the predecessor "Seven Swords and Three Wonders". It tells the story of the older generation of swordsmen such as Lu Siniang and Gan Fengchi who retired, and their descendants and their disciples Gan Huer, Gan Xiaodie, Yun Jie and other "little swordsmen" continued to perform chivalrous acts and help those in need. The novel opens with Gan Fengchi entering the capital under an order, outsmarting the Mongolian king, and meeting the descendants of the Thirteenth Sister by chance, showing the intertwining of the rivers and lakes and the court. Relying on their superb swordsmanship and extraordinary wisdom, they have repeatedly turned the tide in times of crisis, punishing traitors and eradicating evil. However, a crisis lurks. When Gan Huer and Gan Xiaodie were tracing the source of the poison in Wenzhou, they were accidentally poisoned and their minds were controlled. They became the puppets of the evil Du Yuehai and even turned against their fellow junior Yun Jie. In order to save his brother and sister and regain his official seal, Yunjie ventured into danger alone, and launched a thrilling showdown in which good and evil were difficult to distinguish, and brothers killed each other. The whole book integrates martial arts, public cases, gods and monsters. It includes fierce battles with swords and twists and turns of folk grievances. It is also interspersed with fantasy elements such as Gu magic and sword immortals, painting a magnificent picture of chivalry. The "Little Swordsman" written by Lu Shi'e not only continues the chivalrous spirit of his predecessors, but also faces new tests of human nature and morality in the changing times. It is fascinating and worth reading.
