The World Loses Power, but My Ghost Fire Keeps Running

On the seventh day of torrential acid rain, the whole world lies paralyzed in the dark, waiting to die.

Only my electric scooter, plastered with ridiculous stickers, still has a full battery and a screen that lights up on its own.

Forced to become a doomsday delivery driver, I save a hypoxic top-tier star on my first order and gain a devoted fan.

For my second order, I punch straight through a pyramid to deliver a 9.9-yuan Crazy Thursday meal to a pharaoh.

Third order, fourth order... Then my navigation suddenly blares some creepy underworld music:

“Attention. Your final delivery. Destination: the Southern Heavenly Gate.”

I break out in a cold sweat. “Who the hell is this customer?”

A line flickers eerily across the scooter’s display: “Take a guess. Why do you think I’m the only one that can still ride?”

I ask, my voice trembling, “Who is this customer?”

The scooter gives a mysterious smile. “Take a guess. Why do you think I’m the only one in the whole world that can still ride?”
