To earn some money for materials, Xing Ming took a bricklaying job at a construction site, only to suddenly encounter a monster called a Devourer.
Faced with a creature whose instinct was to consume life, the workers fled in every direction, praying it wouldn't come after them.
Xing Ming had planned to escape with the others and leave the monster to the Imperial Armor users.
But the creature was far too fast. In an instant, it killed one of the workers, then set its sights on Xing Ming.
With no other choice, Xing Ming summoned his unfinished battle armor and fought the Devourer.
Unfortunately, unfinished armor was no match for the creature.
With danger closing in, Xing Ming used a soul crystal to transform the armor he wore into a Soul Armor that could be continually modified and upgraded, holding out until reinforcements arrived...
