Alone at Sea: The Flamingo's Child Wants to Fly to the Sky

[Pure love]+ [Girls’ love]+ [Single heroine]= ?

As the adopted daughter of a legendary musician, Mi Jin Xian lives in the shadow of both her surname and her talent. A withdrawn girl with severe OCD, she uses her long gray hair and long-sleeved school uniform as armor against the world. The silent rhythm tapped out by her fingertips is her only language. She yearns for music, yet fears being watched, and is even more afraid she doesn’t deserve that dazzling surname.

When she enrolls at Xiuhua High School, she plans to keep playing the part of a silent stone, until she meets another “monster”: Hitori Gotoh, who also hides in corners and wishes she could disappear into the ground. One is the “genius’s daughter,” forced to be perfect; the other is the “Guitar Hero,” who shines anonymously online. One rehearses countless scenarios in her head but freezes in real life; the other plays the wildest solos in her imagination but can’t speak in person.

Two hard “stones” begin to resonate awkwardly through music. A rainy day, one umbrella, and two tickets to a live show by a legendary band tie their hesitant fates together. Surrounded by the noisy warmth of Kessoku Band, and reflected in each other’s loneliness and longing, can they find the courage to break free from the thick cocoons of self-restraint and play a soaring melody of their own?

This is a pure-love story about loneliness, music, and the awkward steps people take toward one another. When the child of a flamingo meets a pink dumpling, can two socially anxious girls make the loudest rock music of all?
