In Shanghai in 1932, Shen Qinghuan, the daughter of a declining tea merchant, fought in the tea merchant's banquet in order to preserve the family "Qing Ming Xuan". She meets Lu Fengnian, the customs supervisor who has returned from studying abroad. She gets his support but is made things difficult by her love rival Liu Manli. From being recognized in the first stage to rejecting Japanese acquisitions in the end, Qing Huan relied on her tea skills and resilience to gain a foothold.
