Zhao Yue, a modern-day Water Margin fan, was dissatisfied with the tragedy of the heroes' downfall after Song Jiang accepted the imperial amnesty. During a stormy night, he was struck by lightning and transmigrated to the Water Margin world in the Xuanhe era of the Northern Song, where he was also bound to the "Destiny-Reversing Water Margin System."
Zhao Yue led Liangshan on a path of rapid development. He used "Basic Agricultural Improvement" to increase grain yields, and "Marching and Formations" and "The Art of Command" to bring the army into order. He formed a women's battalion, joined forces with Zhang Shuye to keep the imperial court in check, broke up the alliance between the Zhu, Li, and Hu families, and won Hu Sanniang over to his side. In his confrontations with court powers such as Gao Qiu and Tong Guan, he burned grain camps and repelled enemies at Liangshan Marsh, winning battle after battle. He then took advantage of Emperor Huizong's secret summons to join forces with Li Shishi, Wang Jin, and other loyal, righteous figures, eliminate treacherous officials such as Cai Jing and Gao Qiu, and secure legitimate status for Liangshan.
When Fang La declared himself emperor and demanded their surrender, Zhao Yue rallied the people with the "Imperial Heirloom Seal (Replica)" and led his army to crush Fang La's forces, pacifying Jiangnan. He then marched on the Eastern Capital, exposed Huizong's treasonous dealings with the Jin, forced him to abdicate, and established a new dynasty called Shun, with himself as emperor.
After founding the dynasty, Zhao Yue introduced new policies such as land distribution, civil service examination reform, and an oversight system. With skills like "Laying the Foundations for a Golden Age" and "Peace for All Generations," he built a prosperous and upright realm: the people lived and worked in peace, officials served honestly and diligently, and the borders remained secure. When it was time to disconnect from the System, he chose to stay in the Water Margin world and protect the golden age alongside his beloveds, including Sun Erniang and Hu Sanniang, and his Liangshan brothers.
