The story takes place in the fictional Republic of Cornia, a border country in Eastern Europe. Large-scale modern wars broke out between various forces due to resources and geographical conflicts. Chinese special forces soldier Zhao Yanbei led an elite team deep into the war zone and collaborated with Alex, a U. S. Military explosives expert, and Russian mercenary Ivan to uncover the conspiracy and perform special tasks. European journalist Lisa continues to track the truth of the war and reveal the unknown stories behind it. Rebel commander Amir is struggling to make ends meet and is both an enemy and an ally in the power game. Multiple stories are intertwined with each other. The protagonists grow and struggle amidst the hail of bullets and humorous ridicule, forming a revolutionary friendship with each other. War not only tests the good and evil of human nature, but also makes them reflect on life choices in the midst of loss and gain. In the end, in a great war, everyone completed different redemptions and transformations. The war ended, and they each moved towards a new life.
