Zenless Zone Zero: The Dragon and Fox at the Video Store

(Eri + Huohuo + Zenless Zone Zero + mostly slice of life)

Note: The characters and some of the settings in this story may differ from their original versions.

On the brink of death, the Dragon Clan girl Uesugi Eri makes one last wish to a mysterious being called "Wish": "I don't want the world to hate me anymore."

Her wish is answered, and Eri arrives at the Xianzhou Luofu, where she meets Huohuo, a timid but kind Foxian trainee judge.

The two become partners, but on their way home, "Wish" sends them into the world of Zenless Zone Zero, to New Eridu.

Broke and penniless, they walk into the Phaethon video store, where they happen to run into its owners, Wise and Belle.

Eri fights using the Dragon Clan's Words of Power, while Huohuo uses spells and the powers of her tail, a Heliobus. Together, they take on all kinds of Hollow commissions on Sixth Street.

Their story runs from the sorrowful wish at the Red Well, to an encounter aboard a starskiff, and then to everyday life amid New Eridu's neon lights: fighting the Ethereals, helping a neighbor find a cat, mediating disputes for the Cunning Hares, and dealing with the Red Fang Gang's "friendly sponsorship." Dragon blood still runs hot, foxfire begins to glow, and Aether energy intertwines. In the video store's ordinary daily life, the fates of three worlds are quietly rewritten.
