Harry Potter: The Slytherin Detective Is Also a Businesswoman

[Harry Potter + Beloved by Everyone + Business + Investigation] [Pairing: Tom Riddle's diary; family bonds + romance + a promise made in a past life]

Oris Riddle is an anonymous business mogul making waves in London, a rising star who never misses a math competition, and a brilliant girl with such a bright future she can't sleep. At nine years old, she is suddenly visited by a diary.

“When you turn eighteen, I'll kill you.”

That's terribly uneconomical, Oris thinks. He clearly doesn't really want to kill me.

How do you break into the Wizarding World's untapped market? First, use Galleons and pounds to make arbitrage trades. Then, take the Slytherin top student title and start a business selling study materials, drawing the whole school in.

Until

“How much are they paying you to kill me? I'll offer double. Are you in?”

Oris points her sword at the diary, and the diary drops to one knee.

“As you command, my forgotten king.”
