My Fireworks in the Human World: The Butterfly of Youth

At the birthday banquet for ten-year-old Meng Yancheng, Gu Nanzhi appeared holding a specimen of a blue emperor butterfly. Her lively figure and the patterns at the tips of its wings became an obsession he kept hidden in his heart for years.

Later, while in high school, Gu Nanzhi went abroad with her family and her childhood friend Yang Cheng. Before she could confess the budding feelings of youth, Yang Cheng's betrayal shattered them completely. Heartbroken, she returned to China alone, where she unexpectedly reunited with Meng Yancheng, now at the helm of the Meng family.

The boy who once watched her silently had become her most steadfast support. Meng Yancheng never mentioned his feelings from the past. He offered guidance when she felt lost, stood up for her when someone from her past harassed her, and slowly wore down her defenses with day after day of tenderness whenever she tried to shut herself off from the world.

From the fleeting glimpse when she was eight to walking side by side as adults, Gu Nanzhi finally understood that the companionship beneath the Meng family's roof had long since become more than ordinary comfort. It was a love that had endured across the years, and the answer that would help her overcome her pain and embrace love again.
