The First Emperor of the Central Realm

The First Emperor of No. 1 High School: A Synopsis

The fists of school bullies could not break his backbone, and the cold evening breeze of his father’s indifference could not extinguish his passion. Liang Qi had once been pinned to the concrete and called a “loser,” but when he heard Lin Xi cry “Help me!” at the mouth of an alley, he clutched half a brick and charged at a delinquent armed with a steel pipe. On his bloodied bones, he carved the weight of “protection” for the first time.

He endured beatings from older students who surrounded him, and the security guards’ dismissive stares. Lin Xi trusted him without reservation and gently promised, “I’ll help you. I won’t let anyone bully you again.” From standing alone against Wang Kai’s bullying to leading Wang Kai, Yaoyang, Xiaolong, and Gao Fu, the four core members, in building the nearly ten-thousand-strong Five Poisons Society, Lin Xi’s gaze was always his guiding light. During gang fights, she quietly tended his wounds despite the pain in her heart. When he hit rock bottom, her tearful vow, “I’ll always believe in you,” gave him the resolve to transform from a boy who couldn’t even protect himself into the “Emperor of No. 1 High School,” feared and respected by the entire school.

He enforced ironclad rules across the club, controlled the network of informants, established order on campus with his fists, and rallied brothers willing to live and die together with his passion. Yet behind all his sharp edges, he always saved a tender place for Lin Xi. The gratitude he never voiced for her persistence back when he treated her coldly eventually became a promise: “I’ll protect the school, and I’ll protect you even more.” Every bloodstain on his uniform, every step along his path to turning his life around, was for himself and his brothers, but above all, to guide the girl who had once hidden with him in the dark into a future where the sun would always shine!
