The protagonist does not destroy the divine path. Instead, he breaks the old order of "divine authority granted by Heaven" and ushers in a new age in which gods and demons each go their own way, and good and evil are judged by the heart. He becomes the "Watcher" who stands above all living beings. The final title might be: The Demons Rule the World, Yet I Guard the Mortal Realm.
