This is a light fantasy novel blending cultivation with the warmth of everyday life. Centered on “demon-repelling strawberries,” it tells the story of a group of cultivators protecting the world in the sweetest way possible.
Core premise:
At the border between the cultivation world and the demonic realm, demonic energy continually seeps into the human world through a space-time passage. The main characters stumble upon strawberry seedlings containing an energy-gathering core. Not only can they absorb demonic energy, their spiritual wood aura can also completely purify evil forces. The “energy-gathering core,” originally a magical artifact for battle, eventually becomes a strawberry seedling in a spiritual garden, ushering in a new chapter of “fighting demons with sweetness.”
Main plot:
The story begins with a thrilling battle to hold back an invasion through the passage. The Demon Lord Moyuan, spiritual gardener Ling Wei, foodie cultivator Zhang Wei, and others work together to seal it using the strawberry seedlings’ spiritual wood aura, the Demon Lord’s blood essence, and the energy-gathering core. Afterward, instead of continuing to fight, they cultivate mass-producible “demon-repelling strawberries” in the spiritual garden. From Zhang Wei’s obsession with “unlimited strawberries,” to Lin Zhou using the merit system to exchange for an automatic cultivation machine; from Yun Shu writing the Guide to Growing Demon-Repelling Strawberries to spread the growing techniques, to Ling Xi turning strawberry jam into long-lasting spiritual-energy food, they transform the battlefield against demonic energy into a sweet everyday life full of warmth.
Character highlights:
- Zhang Wei: He seems like a greedy “strawberry fanatic,” but when it matters, he protects the strawberry seedlings with his own body, turning his foodie nature into a force for safeguarding others.
- Moyuan: Once a Demon Lord who used chains of black iron to suppress demonic energy, he eventually realizes that “sealing demons doesn’t have to rely on force.” Details like strawberries tucked in his sleeve and a warm glow at his fingertips reveal the gentleness beneath his tough exterior.
