A story about a fortune-telling family in an urban supernatural setting, where traditional metaphysics collides with modern science. Jia Zhenren isn’t good at much. His grandfather, Jia Banxian, was a fortune-teller, and Jia picked up a little from him. What real skills could anyone learn from an old swindler? They’re all just tricks to con people out of a living.
