Su Xiaowu is a “nobody” at a prestigious high school. A little chubby, introverted, and an average student, she is often overlooked by her classmates and even secretly mocked by their cliques. Her only refuge is hiding in her room after school to play the popular mobile game Fantasy Alliance, where she uses the ID “Misty” to feel like she matters.
- She first crosses paths with Jiang Chenxing, the top student and school heartthrob, when she picks up his competition notes after the wind blows them away. But she gets nervous and knocks over his water, prompting the students around them to tease her for “trying to fake an accident to get close to him.” Jiang Chenxing’s silence leaves her so embarrassed that she runs away.
- In the game, she gets matched with “Chenxing,” Jiang Chenxing’s ID. His skills are top-notch, but he is surprisingly patient, helping her clear a beginner dungeon. Su Xiaowu assumes he is just another highly skilled player and quietly adds him to her “favorites.”
