This book presents supernatural folk events from different places as a collection of short stories. Some are hearsay, while others were submitted by people who experienced them firsthand. (To avoid trouble, all place names and personal names are pseudonyms.)
On the night I moved into my new home, I found a line of tiny writing in the corner of my bedroom wall: “Don’t let the shadow beneath your feet grow an extra one.”
I thought it was a prank left by the previous tenant, until I heard the sound of someone wringing out a towel in the bathroom at three in the morning.
In the mirror, the reflection behind me was smiling at me.
The next day, the old lady downstairs quietly asked me, “Last night... were you hanging laundry on the balcony?”
But I don’t even have a balcony.
