A Joyful, Sweet Romance: The Jiang Family Has a Daughter

The Jiang family has two beloved daughters. The elder, Jiang Yiyan, is as gentle and beautiful as her name suggests. She's also the top student everyone talks about, the perfect child other families wish they had. The younger, Jiang Yirou, has one greatest virtue, the one everyone praises her for: she's beautiful. Really beautiful, just as beautiful as her older sister. And that's it.

After Jiang Yirou beats up another one of her sister's suitors and runs off, she stumbles into yet another fight. She kindly rescues someone and unexpectedly meets a handsome man she decides at first sight would make the perfect brother-in-law. So she protects him, and continues to stand up for the brother-in-law she's picked out for herself time and again.

But for some reason, the man Jiang Yirou has chosen to be her brother-in-law is always cool and expressionless in front of her sister. With Jiang Yirou, though, he never stops talking or smiling, and he even wants to keep following her around. It isn't until her sister falls into the arms of another calculating man that Jiang Yirou realizes the uncle she's called "little uncle" for more than a decade harbors feelings for her sister. Enraged, Jiang Yirou swings her fist at him, but the handsome man she picked out stops her. "Your sister already has someone in mind to be her husband. What about me? You promised me. You can't go back on your word, can you?"

Jiang Yirou is stunned. She looks again at her sister, smiling tenderly in the little uncle's arms.

The handsome man grabs Jiang Yirou as she tries to escape. "You can't run. You've kept me waiting for ages. You promised I'd be your brother-in-law, but now your sister has a boyfriend. You'll have to make up for my loss."

Jiang Yirou: "How do I make it up to you? Should I give you money?"

Handsome man: "No. Give me a wife."

Jiang Yirou: "...Where am I supposed to find you a wife?"

Handsome man: "Isn't she right in front of me? My love, wouldn't I be a better fit as your husband than as your brother-in-law?"
