Night Shift Cashier: My Scanner Gun Can Fight Back Against the Supernatural

To save up for tuition, I took the night shift at a convenience store. The owner warned me, "Don't serve customers in red dresses at three in the morning."

Then one night, a woman in a red dress came to buy milk. The scanner glitched three times in a row, and her face turned into a skull as she reached for me...

The old scanner in my hand suddenly grew hot, and a System prompt appeared: "Scan 3 items with yang energy to turn the tables!"

I grabbed three bottles of lemon tea and scanned them. Golden light wrapped around the skull, and she dissolved into black mist!

From then on, all the secrets hidden in the convenience store came to light: a man-eating mist lurked in the fridge, and the janitor wore a bronze mirror that let him see ghosts.

Worse, people in black windbreakers and the Forbidden Sect both had their eyes on my scanner.

I only wanted to save up for tuition. How did I become such a hot commodity?

But no matter: my checkout counter is where the strange things meet their end!

(Rule-based horrors + forbidden items that level up, no protagonist abuse, and satisfying comebacks in every chapter!)
