Reborn as the Chancellor Who Guards the Nation

Lu Chengyuan, a mid-level official at China's National Development and Reform Commission in the modern era, finds his soul transported into the body of a poor scholar during the Zhengde reign of the Great Yong dynasty. With his political savvy, he conquers the imperial examinations, governs the provinces, and rises to the heart of the court. He curbs the power of the empress's relatives, reins in the great clans, quells internal unrest and external threats, and drives reforms that usher in a golden age for Great Yong. At last, having achieved all he set out to do, he retires from public life, leaving behind Records of the Lu Reforms and earning a place among the greatest officials in history. His wits never fail him.
