Introduction to "The Rules of Journey to the West: Commandments on the Road to the West":
The team embarking on the westward journey, in addition to the scriptures, there is also a piece of precepts written in blood in their luggage.
Guanyin's smile hides an abyss, Bajie's greedy words are wrapped in blood, Wukong's flaming eyes will turn into ink, and Sha Monk's river bottom is covered with bones. Every step follows the edge of the rules: Sha Monk cannot enter the Liusha River, both Wukongs must recite the tightening curse at the same time, and they must take a detour when turning back to the mountain...
When the precepts become the only way to survive, the four masters and disciples gradually discover that the so-called demons may be the reflection of those who break the precepts; the so-called Western Heaven may be a larger cage. They abide by the rules and fight against the strange, but every time they comply, they get further and further away from the original "True Scripture".
This is not an epic about slaying demons, but a record of survival stitched together by precepts - when the Bodhisattva's eyes turn into black holes, and when Wukong's golden cudgel is stained with monkey blood, are they learning from the scriptures, or are they becoming part of the rules step by step?
