An Old Man Bounces into the County Seat

Protagonist: Chen Mo

Background: At 45, he was once a top trader in Shanghai's financial world, famed for turning stone into gold. After his business partner and wife betrayed him, his company collapsed overnight. Disillusioned, he took what little savings he had left, bought a train ticket at random, and arrived in a small northern county town called Qicheng.

Traits: He looks disheveled, but his eyes are as deep as an ancient well. He has an intellect capable of overwhelming people from a higher dimension, an ability to read human nature, and a philosophy of survival all his own.
