“Why did you kill me?”
As a hammer came crashing down, the pain was unbearable. Zhong Ning died with hatred in her heart, never seeing her killer’s face or understanding why she had to die so horribly in the street!
Only after death did she glimpse the truth: this was a novel world revolving around its heroine, and Zhong Ning had been born to serve as a “walking golden finger” for her!
Her stepmother’s daughter was the heroine, and Zhong Ning’s death was nothing more than a stepping-stone for her.
The job Zhong Ning had risked everything to earn was meant to be handed over to her. The necklace her mother left behind, which was actually a pocket-dimension golden finger, was meant to be handed over too. Even Zhong Ning’s exit from the story was designed to let the heroine take it all without a hitch!
Her coldhearted father brought her from the countryside to the city. Was that really to give her a better life?
Of course not. It was all part of a scheme between him and her scheming stepmother: Zhong Ning was to be a stepping-stone for her stepsister, sent to the countryside as an educated youth in her place.
She opened her eyes again, reborn three minutes before the hammer struck her head. The countdown to her death was ticking furiously!
A fierce blaze of resentment burned in Zhong Ning’s eyes. Why did the whole world have to revolve around the heroine? Why should she die unjustly just to hand over a golden finger?
Suppressing her hatred, Zhong Ning decided to do everything she could to escape her death first. Staying alive would be the beginning of her revenge!
This time, the job would be hers, the pocket-dimension golden finger would be hers, and she alone would control her own life!
She would defy fate and live well, refusing to accept her lot.
Her coldhearted father, scheming stepmother, and stepsister, the white-lotus heroine: you stole my opportunities and owe me a life. I’ll take it all back, one by one, and make you pay double!
A background character awakens in the 1960s, not to make the heroine shine, but to fight her way toward a beautiful life of her own!
Beautiful, the story is fascinating

Super pretty. The reborn woman is mighty. What she owed her in the previous life must be paid back in this life.
It's okay. The author writes well at the beginning, very rhythmic and very nervous.
It's okay, the heroine is the kind of person who has a normal mind in life. The storyline is pretty good, bland and very down to earth. There are just too many rebirths [laughs awkwardly]
There are not many top-notch movies, and there are no ups and downs in the plot. It has space and system but does not rely too much on it. It is a very heart-warming period drama. Five-star recommendation.
The ending setting is beyond expectation~Awesome~👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Super nice. Very nice. Like it very much.
Not bad, cheers for the author
Very nice recommended book,
