The Turbulent Nine Provinces of China

A month ago, my father, Zhang Wuyi, was the illustrious Prince of Guanzhong, commanding the Northern Pass Army. The Xuanqi Army had rendered great service to the Great Han, while I was the Guanzhong heir, cherished by all and raised in the palm of everyone’s hand. From childhood, I campaigned alongside my father, with the courage to hold a pass against ten thousand men. Now my father is a headless corpse, and I have become a prisoner despised by the powerful. The story begins thirty years ago, with a scholar who traveled to the capital to sit the civil service examinations.
