I’m a Military Doctor Opening a Clinic, and You’re Accusing Me of Practicing Without a License?

During an emergency, He Jing, a former military doctor, performed a uterine evacuation to save a young woman’s life.

Not long afterward, her mother took him to court.

The woman’s mother tearfully testified: “He doesn’t even have a medical license, and now my daughter can never have children again. I want him to take full responsibility.”

“Wait, who told you I don’t have a medical license?”

He Jing sighed and showed his military medical credentials. The courtroom erupted in an uproar.

But rather than back down, the girl’s mother gave a cold smile.

“Dr. He, we never accused you of practicing medicine without a license.”

She changed tack and held up another document.

“We’re accusing you of using excessive force to make my daughter unconscious, then deliberately assaulting her while she was unconscious!”

“Fine, so that’s how you want to play it?”

He Jing laughed instead of getting angry, then casually produced his medical license.

“Sorry, I’m a military doctor. This is how military doctors treat patients, and the law protects that.”
