"Terror on Orbit" tells the story of a team of eight people called "Orbiters" who travel through the strange "orbital" space to survive. Whenever they catch the last train at a specific subway station, they will be drawn into this dangerous alien dimension and must find the only "safe platform" before the train arrives at the station to survive.
The team is led by two male protagonists, Cen Yan and Pei Chen: Cen Yan has the ability to sense orbital dangers and plot escape routes; Pei Chen holds the "rail blade", which can cut off ghosts and has superior defense power. The female conductor Xu Shutang is familiar with the platform rules and can accurately identify safety signs and death traps; the female mechanic Shen Zhiwei is good at dismantling and repairing track devices, and has repeatedly restored the team's life by repairing signal lights. The four male team members perform their duties: Assaulter Shen Hengchuan has amazing mobility and holds a special crowbar to break through the blockade; Shield guard Wen Jingcheng builds a temporary defense circle with an alloy shield; Medical soldier Xie Qinghe carries an improved first aid kit to treat special wounds caused by ghosts; Scout Gu Xingci watches six routes and detects changes in the dark in advance, providing key intelligence for Cen Yan's route planning.
The members have a tacit understanding and are willing to stand behind each other in times of crisis. When Cen Yan marked the route, Pei Chen kept the high-risk direction without saying a word; when Pei Chen was besieged by the rail ghost, Cen Yan could always point out a gap that only one person could pass through to help him break out. To outsiders, they just "just follow along"; to each other, they share their weaknesses and crises without reservation. This team trusts each other in desperate situations, using trust and expertise to fight for a glimmer of hope in orbit.
