In the third year of Zhenguan, Liu Ming, a modern primary school Chinese teacher, traveled to the countryside of the prosperous Tang Dynasty due to an accident. Starting with no identity and no support, he relied on his wisdom to survive in a desperate situation: he rescued the village girl Shen Luoyan who was robbed, used basic medical skills to alleviate his father's serious illness, and even founded the Earth Temple and Township School with modern educational concepts.
He abandoned the old method of rote memorization in private schools, used charcoal blackboards and sand table teaching aids to educate children, and integrated farming knowledge and simple arithmetic into teaching; at the same time, he improved the curved shaft plow and promoted practical skills to benefit his neighbors. The reputation of rural studies gradually grew, and students from neighboring villages came here to learn from him. He united people's hearts with his teachings and became the spiritual pillar of the countryside.
After being recruited by the imperial court to go to Chang'an, Liu Ming impressed Li Shimin with his "stratified education" and "practical-oriented" policies, and was awarded the title of direct bachelor of Hongwen Museum. Faced with the doubts of old Confucianism and resource difficulties, he revised popular enlightenment textbooks, promoted the popularization of engraving and printing, founded the Chang'an Elementary School, and got acquainted with famous figures such as Li Bai.
From a rural gentleman to an important minister in the court, Liu Ming, together with Shen Luoyan and other partners, took modern knowledge as the wing and a sincere heart as the foundation. In the picture scroll of Zhenguan's prosperous age, they wrote a legend of education that spanned a thousand years, and witnessed the glory of the Tang Dynasty from the ruins waiting to be reborn to the coming of all directions.
